  • Overview

    Under the direction of the EH&S Supervisor, provides technical, field and administrative EH&S support for the West Texas & New Mexico assets. Occasionally, as directed, provide assistance to EHS for MidCon / East Texas / ArkLa operations.


    • Conduct day-to-day compliance, environmental and safety functions
    • Assist in collecting and maintaining necessary data for permits, plans, regulatory programs and emission inventories.
    • Coordinate with corporate EH&S and Contractors on addressing EHS compliance issues including scheduling source tests, field monitoring and verification testing.
    • Assist in preparation of land use and local permitting, including data necessary for such applications. Maintain records of compliance data including biological monitoring. Schedule biological surveys, etc. as required by the permits
    • Assist corporate EH&S and Operations in Long Range EHS and Permitting Plans including obtaining data necessary for review of environmental, safety and permitting issues, identification of potential problem areas (e.g. biological impacts), evaluation of options and mitigations, and assist in set up of master EHS and permitting time lines.
    • Assist with regulatory permit applications to oil and gas commissions for EHS matters and maintain regulatory record maintenance in well files. Assist in production / operations projects including procuring and maintaining annual and bi-annual injection surveys and other operations and production data as directed.

    • Conduct incident response and documentation for spills, accidents, property incidents, etc., including initial, investigation, follow-up and written reporting. Maintain all necessary files for incident documentation.

    • Coordinate with EH&S to conduct EHS regulatory audits and inspections, including conducting formalized field reviews of compliance efforts in conjunction with corporate EH&S.

    • Act as regulatory agency liaison for EHS inspections.

    • Assist corporate EH&S in updating and maintaining all EHS regulatory required manuals.

    • Schedule and conduct safety and regulatory training sessions in conjunction with corporate EH&S. Maintain all necessary training and meeting records. Conduct new hire orientations and insure contractor qualifications through review of certifications, etc.



    • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in oilfield and EH&S disciplines
    • BA/BS in Technical Field or equivalent preferred
    • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, MSWord, Powerpoint and Outlook
