  • Overview

    Under the direction of the EH&S Supervisor, the EH&S Coordinator communicates and maintains the company’s safety culture in the plant and in the field and provides assistance with environmental compliance. He/she administers training programs in accident prevention, PSM, and other employee safety procedures, inspects company facilities and workplaces, conducts risk assessments and accident investigations, and recommends actions for the correction of hazardous situations for compliance with OSHA regulations.


    • Conduct day-to-day safety and PSM compliance, and assist with environmental functions
    • Schedule and conduct safety and regulatory training sessions in conjunction with corporate EH&S. Maintain all necessary training and meeting records.
    • Conduct new hire and contractor safety orientations and verify contractor safety qualifications
    • Oversee PSM/RMP programs, tasks, scheduling, team involvement, and related recordkeeping
    • Ensure all required OSHA equipment inspections are completed and properly documented
    • Purchasing and ensuring required safety equipment is available to employees
    • Conduct incident response and documentation for spills, accidents, property incidents, etc., including initial, investigation, follow-up and written reporting. Maintain all necessary files for incident documentation.
    • Tracking all OSHA recordable injuries and submitting OSHA forms 300, 300A and 301
    • Coordinating and implementing plant and field safety drills
    • Act as regulatory agency liaison for EH&S inspections.

    • Coordinate with EH&S to conduct regulatory audits and inspections, including conducting formalized field reviews of compliance efforts in conjunction with corporate EH&S.

    • Assist corporate EH&S in updating and maintaining all regulatory required manuals.

    • Work with Operations personnel and Environmental Professionals to resolve environmental compliance issues in a timely fashion

    • Assist with maintaining operational and monitoring data for EH&S compliance


    Bachelors degree in technical field or equivalent education and work experience

    CSHO, SMS, or similar OSHA safety certifications preferred

    PSM/RMP coursework

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in EH&S discipline
    • Oilfield and/or Gas Plant experience preferred
    • PSM working knowledge and experience preferred
    • Environmental response and recordkeeping

    • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, MSWord, PowerPoint and Outlook

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Ability to work with all types of people and situations

    • Task and detail oriented

    • Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal direction
