  • Overview

    Primary responsibility is to learn to operate a natural gas processing plant under direct supervision. Monitors pressure levels, gauges, and production flows. Assist when major upsets occur. Maintains safe order and run time of plant and operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Under close supervision, operates a gas processing plant.
    • Safety is key with all daily operations and should never be compromised. 
    • Daily safety checks on equipment and pipelines. 
    • Daily well and pipeline checks for effective working order
    • Trouble shoots and learns when there is a problem and how to fix it with the proper guidance and tools.

    Qualifications

    • A mechanical or instrumentation background is helpful but not required.
    • Will be required to pass all PSM, DOT certification. 
    • Must comply with DOT and safety sensitive regulations.
    • Must be able to perform data entry timely and accurately on a computer.
    • Practical: Works with a variety of different disciplines including welders, electricians, dirt moving equipment etc. in order to understand every aspect of a project. Learning to work within and understand safety and regulatory requirements.
    • Troubleshooting: Able to define, or has the potential to be able to define, troubleshooting elements. Performs troubleshooting with supervision.

    • Production System: Demonstrates, or has the potential to demonstrate, good knowledge of production stream flows and how production systems function.
    • Production Equipment: Maintains, or has the potential to maintain, normal operating parameters of equipment. Identifies stable operations and recognizes the impact on systems and processes.
    • Demonstrates the ability to start and stop equipment properly. Has a basic understanding of automation equipment, the purpose of its service and the repercussions due to failure
